Construction shots include: Removing old showroom window; removing debris; demolition; steam shovel; black man scraping paint off large drum; jack hammer used to drill holes for dynamite and break concrete pavement; digging foundation; mixing concrete; building stone retaining wall. Onlookers include Archie Stewart family, businessmen. Sequence with black man in top hat, holding crop / club. Good shots showing construction methods, dramatic shots of steam shovel moving heavy loads. Mary Stewart Hafer notes: Louis Argenio was the building contractor and is the man with the big cigar. The old, original office and Brookside Ice Co. archway are shown coming down. Grandfather Stewart and partner Otto Bown are shown in new stockroom. The complex of buildings was constructed sequentially so the business could be carried on. Mother and I are shown in stockroom. Henry P. Ramdsell and Arthur Murray are shown.
