Views of the Maine Seacoast Mission's headquarters in a house in Bar Harbor. Shots of Sunbeam III underway with various people aboard. Two young women learn to tie knots, and one draws a picture. A park ranger is on board pointing out sights. These may be Sigma Kappa sorority members, who are benefactors of the Mission. Brief view of an older man sitting in chair outside the Mission headquarters.
Views of three-masted schooner underway in light seas. This is probably the "Victory Chimes", built in 1900 and designated a National Historic Landmark in 1997.
The Sunbeam lands, and we see a car full of children unloading at a church, and the Sunday School children lining up. Views of a picnic on a beach, and a man taking an older woman for a row. Shots of two men (staff?) on Sunbeam. View of guests sitting on bow of Sunbeam underway.
Sign on building "Portland Head Light Built 1790", pan up the tower, and views out to sea from the top of the lighthouse. Brief shots of the lighthouse keeper and a stone which reads "In Memory of the ship Anna C. McGuire wrecked here Dec. 24, 1886." More pans of the tower, and view of large commercial ship passing by. A keeper rings the large bell.
View of a wedding on board the Sunbeam. The couple take their vows, then are greeted by well-wishers on board. Sunbeam ties up to a dock, and pans of a small fishing village hugging the shore, with lobster boats in the harbor. Views of Sunbeam leaving the dock.
