Slate: ‘Miller’s Court Show No. 406 “Teach Your Children” Dir: Comiskey’. Title: ‘Miller’s Court’, ‘Teach Your Children’. Depiction of parents picketing a school, in order to pressure the school to fire a teacher who has contracted AIDS. Arthur Miller presents a hypothetical court case, for a teacher removed from the school because she has AIDS, suing the school for discrimination. The lawyers are Richard Emery for the plaintiff and Robert Popeo for the defense. Dr. Paul Skolnick of Massachusetts General Hospital gives information about AIDS. The teacher and the headmaster of the school testify. The lawyers give their summation. Miller questions the jury. The jury votes for the defense, the audience votes for the plaintiff.
