Title: “Word Up!”. Teenagers from different backgrounds share their experiences. Discussion of stereotypes, fashion, and interracial dating, with interviews with Everett High School students Tia Dandridge and Scott Bergeron. The teens go to see ‘Schindler’s List’ together. They discuss the Holocaust, and slave trade, and the internment of Japanese-Americans. They talk about how to make the world better. Lauren Kwan talks about her group Conference for Asian Pacific American Youth, a forum of Asian-American students. A Native American student shares an exhibit on Native American culture with her classmate. The teens talk about discrimination from teachers and guidance counselors.
