Night Shift: Experimental Film; 20th Anniversary edition; a young man watches a televised performance of Madame Butterfly when the lights go out; he feels his way to the refrigerator where he opens the door, puts on sunglasses while the music from the opera can be heard; he removes and carries back to the livingroom a covered bowl and sets it on the television which magically returns to broadcasting the performance; Noreen-Louise Hall talks about the trials of being a television personality; a black and white film, Retro Viva by Keith Fulton from Temple University, begins; flash cuts between two men in different reflective behaviors; one man brings a toaster-shaped lamp to a bar when a visitor arrives; Pepita, a dancer and singer visits the studio set; she talks about her book, Pepita Is a Poet; the next film is Desiderata, by Ethan Minsker, from the School of Visual Arts; it opens with quick cuts of a musical performance interspersed with views of a subway station, trackside; next is a film, Eclipse, by Anthony P. Stephenson, New York University; then a film, Yo-yo, by Ethan Minsker, School of Visual Arts; Pepita recites a poem about yo-yos; next is a film, Grandmother Spider Steals the Sun, by Allison Powers, Boston University; a narrator tells the story against the images of sky and landscape with an occasional spider in the frame; next is I.C.Y. by Anthony Stephenson, New York University; flake images against signage and colorful backdrops are paired with a musical voiceover; Corpus, by Keith Fulton, Temple University, begins with a black and white film of a flat-bottom boat coming into a harbor, and distorted images of people and objects under water;
