On side porch Anne with Mummy's Newfoundlands Dinah and Blackie and Daddy's Cocker Spaniel Skipper. Notice my heart-shaped locket, which I wore until I was about 12. Don't know what I did with it. Anne and Gloria. 1941 or 42: Christmas Anne coming down the stairs backwards on all fours. Anne with doll Joanna, which I still have. Anne in musical chair. Bobby in musical chair. A pink, fine-woven reed or rattan chair with a music box underneath, it played music when you sat in the chair and stopped when you stood up. Anne pushing doll carriage. Anne and Jim swimming at Anthony's Beach. Jim carries me on his shoulders out to the raft in the deep water. Daddy and Jim and Gloria and her friend all swim into shore from the raft. Anne & Daddy coming ashore. During childhood my hair was usually parted on the side with the long hair on the other side caught up with an elastic in a tiny pony tail. I called it my "wig." Daddy in cap and gown trimmed with red. What was the occasion? Anne wears the cap, but prefers her own bonnet. note the blue wool snowsuit with jodhpur pants, double breasted coat and bonnet.
