[Countdown, intro] Sarah Miller and Ricardo Perez perform “El Rey”, singing a cappella. Interview with the performers. The girl is identified as Sarah Miller from Pine Manor College, the boy is identified as Ricardo Perez, an international student. They sing another song. A band consisting of three young men, two guitarists and a drummer, perform. Magen interviews the lead singer (Peter Linnane), who explains the band name ‘Madcap Laughs’ comes from the title of a Syd Barrett album. He describes their music as “roll”. Other band members identified as Greg (Greg Chase) and Jason (Jason Robinson). They play another song “Dear Jane”.
