The 30-minute video is a direct recording of the broadcast "On the Road" and the segment that includes James Russell Wiggins does not appear until the final 22:30. It is a brief story about Maine's growth and Wiggins' belief that Maine will grow with the nation for better for worse. It contains many of the usual highlights of his life, and often-used quotes and images. It is a 2 minute segment.
Other segments of the broadcast include one on Annetta Harris and Holbrook Island; WERU and Noel Paul Stookey, the Bagaduce Lending Library which opened in 1983, and Eaton's Boatyard in Castine.
