Oceanographers Bob Steneck, Lew Incze lead study to learn about the lobster population by searching for young lobsters on the ocean bottom. Research is based on board the Maine Maritime Academy research vessel ìR/V Argo Maineî off the coast of Maine in Jonesport, Pemaquid, and other areas. Rich Wahle of the University of Maine, geologist Dan Belknap, David Dow of The Lobster Institute also discuss the project and how to manage the lobster population. Dave Cousens and Ed Blackmore of the Maine Lobstermen's Association discuss conservation proposals and the impact they would have on the industry.
