Collection contains [Allan Preble Robinson--home movies], scenes of logging operations in the upper Kennebec Valley, predominantly during the winter months. Footage shows woods camps, log jams, trucks and railroad cars, and horse teams hauling long logs and four-foot pulp logs.
Allan Preble Robinson worked in the Maine logging industry. The upper Kennebec Valley region is situated in Somerset County, in northwestern Maine.
Allan Preble Robinson (1901-1989) attended Bowdoin College, Brunswick, graduating in 1924.He then attended Bryant & Stratton business college in Boston. He married Ruby Emily Frost (1901-1995) in Bingham, Maine, in 1925
