      The Martin Family Collection consists of 19 reels of amateur 8mm, shot by Dabney Thomas Martin II and Elsie Elouise Marshall Martin between 1957 and 1966. The films take place in Haverhill, Massachusetts and the surrounding area. They document the Martin family's various activities including Christmas holidays and summer vacations. Family members depicted in the films include Dabney Thomas Martin III, his wife Sarah Ann Burns Martin, and their daughters Eileen Marie Martin, Victoria Ann Martin, and Kelly Louise Martin; as well as Donald K. Martin, his wife Margaret, and their children Douglas Martin, Steven Martin, and Carol Martin.
      Dabney Thomas Martin II (1902-1970) was originally from Kentucky. His wife, Elsie Elouise Marshall (1900-2000) was from Virginia and was a direct descendant of John Marshall (1755-1835), American politician and fourth Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. Dabney and Elsie had two sons: Dabney Thomas Martin III (1931-2012) and Donald K. Martin (1932-2012).

      Dabney Thomas Martin III married Sarah Ann Burns (1933) of Pittsburgh, PA and they had four daughters: Eileen Marie (1956), Victoria Ann (1958), Kelly Louise (1961), and Catherine Winifred (1968-2004). Their family lived in Amesbury, MA and Bonnie Acres, NH before moving to Pittsburgh, PA in 1962.

      Donald K. Martin married Margaret (1932-2009) and they had three children: Douglas (1959), Steven (1960), and Carol (1962). Their family lived on Brickett Ave. in Haverhill, MA.
