Lakeside scenes; Frank Knight talks with Romey Haynes [?] about the development of a youth conservation education camp at Mud Lake; interviews with Vaughn Day, who says the camp should be thought of as a education/recreation space, not just a play space; Harry Whitney, treasurer of the camp, hopes for an even budget because the kids at camp are sponsored by local businesses; Bob and Connie England, directors of the camp, say there are 240 campers with a full-day schedule of lectures, athletic activities and separate things for age groups; shots of young campers with Fred Hutchinson, professor of soil sciences; shots of different education demonstrations with Byron Hand and Harry Smith, a local fire marshall; Gary Porter is the water front safety and swimming instructor; a demonstration of forest brush control is provided by Chester Gage and Bob Rochester; Bill Stevenson talks about pollution with the campers; Bob Evans provides closing remarks for the campers; [Camp Carowani ?]
