Intertitles: “Maine, the Land of Remembered Vacations” “Official State Picture, State of Maine, Maine Development Commission, State House, Augusta, Maine” Reel 75 is a promotional film about trees with lines from Joyce Kilmer’s poem ‘Trees’ as intertitles throughout. The footage consists of shots of various kinds of trees, including a tree with a sign on it that reads, “The Lafayette Elm Named For The Marquis De Lafayette Who Was Entertained At The Adjoining Stoker Mansion June 25 1825 Presented To The Town Of Kennebunk By The Heirs Of Charles Parsons Spread Of Tree 13L Feet Girth 17 Feet 3 Inches”, apple trees, trees in bloom, bare trees, trees with their autumn foliage, birds‘ nests and snow covered trees as well as a few shots of the sun setting.
