Intertitles: “Maine the Land of Remembered Vacations” “Official State Picture Maine Development Commission State House Augusta, Maine.” Reel 73 is a promotional film about a trip on the narrow gauge railroad sponsored by a sporting camp with intertitles throughout. The footage includes people dressed in costumes as railroad workers, an engineer and an old woman pushing a girl dressed as a baby in a carriage, the group inspecting a man pretending to be dead and men carrying him away on a stretcher, a conductor punching tickets as people get on the train, the group on the train, people along the tracks waving to the train, the group posing on the engine cab, people dressed as bandits pretending to rob the train, an antique car pretending to be broken down on the tracks, a man dressed as a hobo eating lunch on the tracks, people picking berries along the side of the tracks, people playing in a lake, a small, single-car train that looks like a truck moving along the tracks, people cooking and eating lunch, a woman blowing a horn on the tracks, people dancing as two men play a violin and a banjo, a few shots of the sun through the clouds and a shot of people in a canoe on a lake.
