Title: “Chronicle Main Streets & Back Roads”. Mary Richardson hosts an episode about Cape Cod. Noel Beyles narrates a tour of Cape Cod, including a flight over the Cape, Scargo Tower, the Pilgrim Monument, a tower relocated from the Fitchburg Railroad station, the North Truro radar station, the Highland Lighthouse, the fish tower at Cold Storage Beach, cars abandoned in the dunes, an archaeology site, the wreck of the German ship Frances, the wreck of the SS James Longstreet, the national weather station on Morris Island, a broken telegraph cable, and bike trails. Includes clips of interviews with author Noel Beyles, Gordon Russell of the Truro Historical Society, artist Jay Critchley, archaeologist Dan Carnes, truckdriver Stretch Baker, fisherman and author Phil Schwind and blind pianist Jimmy Turner.
