Chronicle: 9-5 Time code [Nine to Five]; Secretaries: Raises, Not Roses; women proved they could do work equal that of men during World War II, yet after the war the pay that women receive for that work is not equal; this report focuses on the 9 to 5 movement of equalizing the work environment; includes clips from the Dolly Parton, Jane Fonda, Lilly Tomlin movie 9-5; black screen breaks; a tour inside a Blue Cross Blue Shield office is used as an example of the sort of work that the variety of office workers do; women who supported the men union organizers talk about their experiences in the early days of protesting, particularly at Flint, Michigan, and General Motors, which led to the formal union recognition on February 11, 1937.
