AbstractSet up interview routine because it will be translated; Tufts New England Medical Center leased with an option to buy two large buildings that house garment manufacturing companies in Chinatown and this will close those businesses; Chinese immigrants are dependent on the jobs in these buildings, and will be displaced; the interview subjects respond to questions about their perception of the effects of the Tufts’ leasing of these buildings and Chinatown’s resident population. Specific Viewing Notes or Cautions: Ambient noise makes the questions hard to hear; many interruptions; none of the interview subjects are identified; near the end of the tape are 4 minutes of silent street footage then 4 minutes of slow motion pickup basketball footage.
