Title: “Why I Came to America”. Joe Kennedy (Joseph P. Kennedy II) hosts a special that tells the stories of several immigrant families. Includes interviews with members of the Greek community in Lowell, including Father John Sarantos, his wife Nicki, and mother Mary (1895-1983); the Italian community of Boston’s North End, including Maria and Nick Cornelio, and their daughter Rita; the Irish community, including Liam and Henry [Varen?]; the Jamaican community, including Joyce Graham; and [Gunilla?] and David Bonderman and their son Eugene, part of the Russian Jewish community. People discuss their reasons for emigrating, the challenges they have faced, and how they preserve their heritage in the US.
