Special: Teacher; Bernie, a middle-aged man dressed in a jacket and tie, drops slides into a projector tray and talks about why he became a teacher, and why he continues to teach; he then challenges one of the students to write an essay about July 3, 1863, and the Gettysburg address; he annoys the school board with his reading list, and teases his wife about daily choices; black screen breaks; he meets a friend for a game of hoops, and they banter about politics and how much more money his friend makes than Bernie makes; Bernie's wife reassures him that his friend's lifestyle is not right for Bernie; Bernie does not like the student's essay; the student says it is dead history; Bernie turns to some photos of the soldiers and tells stories about the soldiers; Bernie recites the address to the student and emphasizes the life and breathe of the words in his delivery; the student asks if he can rewrite the essay;
