Miller's Court: Hitting Home; a gay couple is denied custody in the adoption of a young child, and so they sue the state agency that claims the welfare of the child is better served if adopted by a traditional couple; Diane Blank and Michael Avery represent each side of the issue; black scree breaks; a jury of 12 observers hear the arguments for and against a gay well-established couple's adoption of a young child; the viewing audience is invited to call in their votes; the lawyers talk about their strategies; jurors express their opinions; 9 of the 12 jurors voted to award custody of the child to the gay couple;
