Miller's Court: Protective Custody; After an inmate pleads for release, he is found dead in his cell by his mother; the mother sues the state for negligence; Arthur Miller introduces the lawyers, Paul Garrity and Marshall Simonds, who argue the points of law before a jury; black screen breaks; Arthur Miller talks with the lawyers about their strategies, and talks with the jurors about their observations; 7 jurors voted in favor of the mother's lawsuit, 5 voted in favor of the police department, that is, 7 voted for the plaintiff and 5 voted for the defendant;
