Title: “Miller’s Court”. Dramatic scene of a school board member dealing with a controversial student play at a high school. Arthur Miller presents a case of free speech regarding whether the school board can ban play. Margaret Burnham is the attorney for the student, James St. Clair for the chairperson of the school board. The lawyers question the student and chairperson. Margaret Burnham argues for the first amendment rights of the student. James St. Clair argues that the play was inappropriate for the community. Miller questions the lawyers about their strategies. Miller talks with the jury. The jury votes for the plaintiff.
