Master Miller's Court X2252 The Informer Rec. 12/2/82
Miller's Court: The Informer; A senator is charged with taking money for his campaign but an informant is testifying against the senator; the questions in this episode are how far government should be allowed to go in encouraging state witnesses, and how reliable those witnesses appear; lawyers Richard Blumenthal and Gregory Craig for each side of the questions argue before a jury; the lawyers discuss their strategies in pressing the jury and the informant, as well as the party charged with the crime in the case; the jury pool is questioned on their reaction to the lawyers' tactics; 10 jurors found the senator not guilty of the charge because they did not believe the informant, or at least did not believe the preponderance of evidence beyond a reasonable doubt, and 2 jurors found the senator guilty;
