Jabberwocky J122 "Art"
Jabberwocky; Art; JoBeth is imitating an artist making a painting of red winter mittens, Mr. B is a sculptor, and Tucker is a novel writer; all of them are suffering for their art; theme song and visuals; black screen breaks; Tucker begins the opening, but Dirty Frank interrupts him with a complaint about art being for arrogant people; JoBeth tries to explain to Frank what art might include; they decide to talk instead about beauty; JoBeth shows the studio kids some images from different time periods and askes the kids what they noticed about the images; though they all agree that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, there are some things made by persons that many people agree are more beautiful than other things; art is that which many people agree is beautiful; Mr. B, JoBeth and Frank talk about redecorating the kitchen but have some difficulty agreeing on what whether this activity is part of the art world; JoBeth visits Botolph art gallery to learn how the owners decide what to put on display; Tucker opens the surprise box so that Joan Coleman can step out and then demonstrate, with the studio kids, making art out of cast-off items;
