Healthbeat; Babies: Every 10 Seconds; Dr. Timothy Johnson hosts a program that looks at a range of ways in which babies come into the world; Susan and Rick prepare for the birth of their second child from the moment of conception with prenatal classes, and then with both parents actively participating in the actual delivery of their daughter Kate; a perinatal center is visited for the care it provides when late pregnancy's develop difficulties; teenage mothers are vulnerable to special complications; Teenage bodies and the babies' bodies are growing at the same time, and require nutrition and self-control on the teenagers' part; laboratory conception is demonstrated at a hospital in Norfolk, Virginia; in rural America, infant morality is still a problem;
