Abstract1:46:43-1:47:25 Older man in leather jacket comes out of store, gets in pickup truck and drives off down hill of village on snowy road. Brief shot of small building with sign "Post Office Palermo" on front. Man walks out of post office (postmaster?), uses hand water pump to get a glass of water in front of building. 1:47:25-1:48:10 woman in fur coat with flower corsage on windy rocky beach. [Hair in gate in most of scene.] CUs of another woman in front of a building as wind blows her hair. She pretends to shoot a stuffed bunny with a rifle, then goes into the store. Views of fluffy black cat at entrance. 1:48:11- 1:49:44 German Shepherd dog in snow [hair in gate]. then Texaco fuel truck arrives at outdoor location and man hooks up hose to deliver oil or gas. Exterior winter view of Dowe's General Store with Moxie sign on front, as well as gas pumps out front. [Hair in gate] Pans of white frame Maine farmhouse with ell wing. View of shingled frame building that looks like a mill. 1:49:44- 1:51:02 woman sits down to play piano with sheet music. Older man and woman sit on the piano bench talking and laughing. Two young women come out of Dowe's store and pose for camera. Hair in gate. 1:51:02-1:51:29 view of rocky shoreline with waves crashing on shore. Hair in gate. 1:51:30-1:51:42 View of Cape Elizabeth lighthouse with storm flag blowing. 1:51:43- 1:53:20 Delivery man for "Harris Better Bread" opens back of truck in front of store, then takes in goods. Truck drives off. Man walks up to store front in snow, followed by his dog. Man gets into "Elm City Tobacco Co. Inc., Distributors of Schrafft's Chocolates" truck in front of store. Various men exit the store or post in front. 1:53:20 -1:59:43 Snow plow makes its way down already-plowed road. Hair in gate. Plow turns around at S.W. Glendenning store. Men attach chains to plow and it begins to haul away a small garage/shed building. Man on roof makes sure that the building makes it past a very tight fit. Plow is used to move a pile of firewood. Pan HAS of Palermo village, and people exiting building and greeting each other. 1:59:44-2:01:58 Sign on building "Hiram Falls". Woman stands in front of dam structure with water rushing over. Various views of the water. Woman walks on railroad track trying to keep her balance.
