Includes clips of interviews with former prisoners Christine McCoy, Grisel Velasquez, and Lillian Sutton, City Mission Society Director for Prison Programs Laura Biddle, Aurora Program Director Jo-ann V. Rust, and coordinator for Promises Kept Volunteers at Hancock Church Thelma Lyon. Holmes also reports on the Massachusetts Parole Board receiving a grant to create the Intensive Parole for Substance Abusers, which was designed to help young Black men who have been imprisoned transition back to life outside. Includes clips of interviews with Executive Director for the Massachusetts Parole Board Edward J. Dolan, parole officer Don Turner, IPSA program member Steven Brimage, Director of COERS-Boston Virginia Pratt, and Senior Placement Counselor for IPSA-COERS Barbara Visnet-Quinn. Holmes interviews Renee Wormack-Keels, Executive Director of Social Justice for Women and Professor of Criminal Justice at Northeastern University Edith Elizabeth Flynn.
