Karen Holmes introduces a special on Boston organizations that aim to help Boston’s African American men. The special re-airs a ‘Chronicle’ episode titled: “Homeboys: A Generation at Risk”. Byron Pitts reports on violence, gangs, family issues, and unemployment among Black men in Boston. Includes interviews with psychologists Dr. Jeanne Taylor and Dr. Eugene Givens, as well as police and community members. Includes names and phone numbers for community assistance programs. Afterwards, Karen Holmes leads a discussion with author Haki Madhubuti, attorney Joe Feaster, Jamal Crawford, a member of the C.L.U.B (Career and Life United in Boston) program, and reporter Byron Pitts. Ends with several promotional clips.
