Donor-supplied NotesAugust 1973 - Our first annual vacation in Ver-mont with the Schulzes -- all the kids at Star Lake, with Gretchen and a strange dog; then the kids in the sleigh outside the house; then a ride up the gondola and some walking around the top of Mt. Killington. ***** Vermont continued, this time in Mt. Holly as all the kids, Al, and Walt walk down a country road to a nearby farm (with bees and honey) and pastureland. ***** Vermont conclu-ded, with further swimming on Star Lake, and after a sunset view of distant deer, some boating and fishing; then a trip to Rutland and points north. ***** Kids under sprinkler in our back yard, with Ned in playpen; then the kids at McKeon's with Kathy -- Ned walking; then Kevin on his first day at St. Mary's; then the kids out back with Heath-er and a kitten. ***** Thanksgiving 1973 - Three families of Johnsons at G and Mary's with a huge loaf of bread -- kids and grownups scattered about the kitchen, den, dining room, and living room. ***** Winter 1973 - Aftereffects of an ice storm here -- kids outside in snow; then Christmas onour porch, and a one-day visit by Denny from Brooklyn. ***** January 1974 - Danica's 5th birth-day with Anne, Grandmom, and Patty. ***** Easter 1974 - Baskets, books, kids out front, and tulips.
