1938 – 1939
A snowplow comes toward camera pushing deep snow across a bridge. Several plows in the village (Hiram?) work to clear roads. Views of large circular ice saw on sled as men pull it across ice as they cut "creamery ice". Men use handsaws to cut blocks, then use crowbars to loosen them and push them along an open channel in the ice to a wooden conveyor which carries them up to second floor of an ice house. This is a group effort with each man having a role. Good shots of the floating ice, and interiors in the ice house as blocks are stacked in the house. A fish catch is laid out on the snow then strung for drying. Shots of river drivers in spring moving logs in river, pushing them under a bridge, balancing on the logs. Intertitle: "Mt. Men move logs from shore of river to current moving down river ("scrubners logs").
