Title on box: "Wyman #1 construction movies. Reel #2. First construction. POVs from an airplane of Wyman Energy Center Units No. 1 and No. 2, a oil-fired electric power plant under construction by Central Maine Power. Wyman is a peaking plant, which means it is dispatched to operate during times of high electricity demand in the region. It is capable of creating 823 megawatts of electricity. In 1999 a subsidiary of NextEra Energy Resources acquired a majority of the megawatts of the facility, and operates the facility. HAS looking down on equipment waiting to be installed. Long shot of the causeway bridge to the mainland. Closer views of parts of the plant, including smokestacks, turbine building, transformers, generators and power lines. Views of the construction site with men working around metal framing for a building, and the foundation area. A half-built transmission line tower is seen in background. Pans across supplies for the building project, including large reels of cable.
