Transfer to videotape of 8mm Kodachrome taken in early 1950s. The first scenes of early Maine Central passenger diesel, including the Burlington Zephyr style streamliner 'Flying Yankee' passing through Burnham Junction, were all taken before 1950. Other locations include Crawford Notch in New Hampshire's White Mountains, and Maine Central scenes cover from Winslow to Yarmouth, Maine. Grand Trunk trains shown are from Falmouth to N. Yarmouth, Maine. Circus trains are at Bryant Pond, Maine, which is at the crest of the hill between South Paris and Bethel, Maine. The rubber tired 'parade' train is opposite Union Station on St. John St., Portland, Maine. B&M 3713 passenger special is through Rigby Yard at South Portland, Maine. Steam locomotive types include the Mikado 2-8-2, the 655 2-10-2 Santa Fe type, the 2-8-0 from Ringling Brothers Circus is a Consolidation. The 4-6-2 Pacific's MEC 463, 470, B&M 3713, GTM 5290, and 5292 are all passenger types.
