John Greenman and Angus King co-host debate over whether or not a branch of the University of Maine in downtown Lewiston is necessary. The process would be partially funded by the state and a bond issue is on the ballot for coming year. Guests on show include Lewiston Mayor Paul Dion, Senator Michael Pearson of Old Town, and Francis Brown of the University of Maine Board of Trustees. Dion supports the proposal and Pearson is opposed due to high costs likely involved. Brown discusses the preliminary planning stages. Show opens with shots of downtown Lewiston area. Co-production of MPBN and WCBB.
