The films range from the 1930s to the 1960s and cover a wide variety of skiing subjects in a number of locations. White Ecstasy (The Ski Chase), 1931, b&w: Arnold Fanck and Hannes Schneider collaboration, co-starring Leni Riefenstahl. The story of a fox hunt on the slopes of At. Anton in Austria. Slalom (Abenteuer Im Engadin), 1932, b&w: German comedy action epic by Arnold Fanck, filmed at St. Moritz in Switzerland. Sclitz on Mount Washington, 1935, b&w:Lowell Thomas narrates the adventures of Dr. Wolfgang Schlitz on the slopes of Tuckerman Ravine, full of daring do, comic pranks and spring skiing. Ski Larks, 1939, b&w: Lavish Hollywood / newsreel style portrait of Hannes Schneider, Mount Cranmore and North Conway. Dr. Quackenbush Skis the Headwall, 1942, color: Sidney Shurcliff filmed comedy classic in New Hampshire's White Mountains including Mt. Cranmore, Wildcat Race Trail, Tuckerman's Ravine. Let's Go Skiing, circa 1940, color: Snow Train film promotes winter sports vacation in New England. Olympic Victory, 1952, color: John Jay filmed 1952 winter games in Oslo, Norway, including gold medal vistories by Stein Ericksen and Andrea Mead Lawrence. Flame in the Snow, 1960, color: Official film for the 1960 winter Olympics in Squaw Valley, California. The Man in the Red Flannel Suit, circa 1950, color: Short comedy about a couple of rustic Vermonters who board city skiers at their farmhouse in Stowe.
