Ron Palmquist talks with Paul J. Weitz about President Nixon's call for a renewed interest in the NASA space exploration program; he says the medical field benefits, for example, from some of the advances in technology that the space program develops as "spin off"; geneally, however, everyone benefits from pure science knowledge about the earth and solar system around us; [Paul J. Weitz was an American naval officer and aviator, aeronautical engineer, test pilot, and one of 19 astronauts selected by NASA in April 1966. He flew into space twice. He was a member of the three-man crew who flew on Skylab 2, the first crewed Skylab mission.]
