Viewing NotesDVD slate: Reel 74. Ranch 2, 1928 [Near Powder River, Wyoming] Views in woods, people on horses. Trail ride, view of landscape, some snow on hillside. Rocky area. Man with lariat around himself. Woman seated in cloche hat, laughs. Young boy holds hat in hand, smiles. Two small boys laugh. Man with glasses looks at camera. Man in cowboy hat has bandage on his head, gestures the camera away. Girl with horse. Trail ride proceeds, camera watches horses in line walk into valley. Film is damaged, scratches, light density variation. Pan of patchy snow on hills. Coming to water, lake? Snow on far side slope. Stream flows in foreground. Waterfalls in distance. Mountain stream with blowing grass in front. Small waterfall. Person scoots on their buttocks down snowy hillside. More waterfalls. Horse in chest high greenery, takes a big mouthful. Man on river rows a raft. Very slow progress. Interesting shot. Man holds duffel bag, another man jumps on contents to pack it down. Loading horses. Man puts his foot up on horse to get leverage, another man holds front of horse. Horse doesn't like this process. Another horses resists being loaded. It is hobbled, still rears and backs up, then runs in circles around the men trying to load it. Resists further, bucks and then lies down. Two men fold tent, it is very bulky and heavy. Tie it on horse while it's lying down. Horse gets up. Man in wooly chaps walks to camera. Horses head out, walk across stream. Man in wooly chaps at end of line of riders. Riders come up hill, mountains in distance. Pan of landscape, hills, some forested. Valley with riders. Pam up hillside, riders and pack animals in valley. Ranch, man briefly then dark.
