The new legislative session convenes, beginning with an official restating of what had been done in the previous session; 107th legislature begins with election of legislative leaders, including John Martin as speaker, who is the youngest to assumed to post; Governor Ken Curtis' administered the oath of office to the new legislators and offered his last speech; also in the house were Mark Gartley, Secretary of State; Attorney General Joseph (Joe) Brennan; State Treasurer Rodney Scribner; democrats now control the house;
