Farming scenes with tractor and various machinery. Boys pick and bag potatoes. Truck picks boys up. Sheep farming with lambs, ewes; sheep herding, chicken farming with CU's of chicks. Corn farming with related machinery, corn gathering (with truck) and husking. Footage of cows with CU's of cows in barn. Sawing wood in winter and horsedrawn lumber transportation. Girls iron, cut pies, paint house. Ice cutting and stacking (3 1/2 minutes): Mechanical ice saw, two operators walk backwards and pull it as it cuts ice. Several views of mechanical ice cutting including background with trees and houses at edge of ice. Three boys saw with long saws, others push with fork tool and long poles. Good views of tool use from several angles. Boys push ice up ramp and guide ice down channel. Horses attached to sled. Boys on sled use tools to arrange ice. Pair of boys use tongs to arrange ice. Horses drive off, three boys on sled across snow-covered ice. Boys wave. Shots of a water tower, a river, boy walking on river bank, boy canoeing, boy walking along creek. Baseball, golf, sledding, rudimentary skiing, and boys and girls ice skating arm in arm.
