Oral history interviews of [senior citizen] residents and friends of Phillips-Strickland House, Bangor about early schooling. Interviewed by 8th graders at Caravel Middle School, as part of a grant funded project including the Phillips-Strickland House, The New England School of Broadcasting, Maine Public Broadcasting, and the Bangor Historical Society.

"The project "Maine's Golden School Days - 1890-1930" is the production and distribution of a reminiscent video highlighting a profile of a grammar school student's school year. Through the use of oral history interviews, still photographs, and music from the time period, this video will capture valuable memories and facts relating to Maine's Golden School Days. The distribution portion of the project will insure that the historical information is presented to a wide range of age and special interest groups throughout the State of Maine for years to come."
