Story of the Penobscot Expedition of 1779 and naval battle in Penobscot Bay at Bagaduce Peninsula. Old man tells the story of the battle to his grandson. Explains the large reenactment of the attack performed in Castine, Boothbay Harbor, and Bucksport in 1979. Also shows the recovery of items from the wreck of the scuttled ship 'The Defense.' Professor David Switzer explains the recovery process.
