This program is a public affairs program focusing on criminal sentencing. It aims to help citizens understand the sentencing process through a simulated crime and sentencing. The program was made possible by a grant from the Crime Control Act of 1973 through the Maine Law Enforcement Planning and Assistance Act. The cast acts out a simulated crime and pre-trial investigation. Callers vote on the sentence and compare their results to the ruling of Lewis Naiman (Kennebec County judge). Dave Platt (host) also interviews John Lund (former Maine Attorney General), Joseph Brennan (Maine Attorney General), Ray Faucher (Maine State Representative), Neil Coreson (Maine State Senator) and Ed Hanson (Men's Correctional Center).
