Black-and-white home movies of the New York World's Fair in 1939, including day and night scenes.
Reel includes scenes of the Trylon and Perisphere by day, seen through the Four Freedoms. Opening view has very low contrast. Night views of fair attractions including the Lagoon of Nations and the Italian Pavilion, and shows including Billy Rose's Aquacade. Interior views of the Futurama ride and the transparent car exhibit in the General Motors Building. Day scenes of the Consolidated Edison Building, the Electrical Utilities Building, the Theme Center, and views of the fairgrounds from the Helicline, pan of tops of buildings and then plantings along both sides of walkway. [The day sequences have very low contrast.]
