Intertitle: "The fire at its height" Pan of smoke and fire on hillside. Not very legible. Hillside with smoke above. lengthy pan, flames. Intertitle: "Oak Hill August 1948" Crew with truck, fire hoses. Dark smoke behind spruce trees. Truck proceeds down road, fire hose behind. Overexposed. Flames on ground, pan of burned area. Man with watertank on his back spraying flames. Fire in shrubs. Burned over area. Fir tree with flames. Another man with tank, uses pump. Views of fire. Group of men with hose' strong stream, of water. Pan of firefighters, many of whom wear collared shirts and khakis. Then men with shovels in smoking ground. Police officer with hanky. More people arrive including women and boys. They are on road. Intertitle: "Chimney Seal Harbor September 1948" Two people on barn roof. Ladders on shingle roof. Man throws something up, brings a bucket of water. There is fire coming from chimney. Then smoke from chimney. Man in overalls climbs ladder. End of sequence.
