Houses, Railway Express Agency truck, town streets and people, shops. Middlebury train station, woman descends from train with man in white silk scarf and monocle. Greeted by crowd. Bouquet. Receiving line of dignitaries. Presented with key to the city (cardboard). Open touring car.'She's Our Honey' sign on truck, local apiaries welcome queen. 'Movie Queen' banner over street. Business section: Demo of refrigerator and ice cube tray. Coffee maker. Blender. Post office. People leaving church. Collie dog greets everyone. Hats on women, jaunty with feathers. Felt hats on girls. Middlebury Inn. Fall, leaves blowing. Flour, American Pride Allied Mills finest family patent flour. Sign 'Bring us your feeding problems' animal feeds, 'We pass your place every week.' College campus, long shots of chapel, various halls. Leaves off trees, probably October. People going to football game in raccoon coats, breeze blowing. Male cheerleader with huge megaphone. White sweater with 'M' on it, white pants. Football game, kick. Middlebury carries ball. Band on field in whites. Students and old men in crowd. Neon 'College Restaurant' sign at night, waitress in wire rim spectacles taking orders. Movie Queen tastes a chocolate. CUs faces including cook--from India? ECU soda fountain, ECU pie. Restaurant sign in day. Cat and dog outside, cocker spaniel. Plotted section with titles: 'Meanwhile, Slarbo, jealous, brings public enemies to town.' Out of focus car drives toward camera. Man gets out with Slarbo. [Garbo]. About ten men get out of car, crowd watches on left side. Out of focus. 'Kidnap her and she will confess her identity.' Woman demonstrates with sheet. 'The leader, Public Enemy No. 999' CUs bad guys with painted mustaches, caps, sinister expressions. Film run backwards, they all get in car. Men in a line with sheet approach post office. Cover woman with sheet, carry her off. Slarbo uncovers her. Wrong woman. They stalk their victim, back to the PO. 'Ha! Ha! Proud Beauty, you are in my power.' Three men carry movie queen covered in sheet, wearing saddle shoes. Hero approaches on sidewalk, fights men to release movie queen. Bad guys lie in a heap on sidewalk. CUs their faces. Hero and movie queen talk, CU in front of PO. End.
