      Collection includes unedited footage: 18,000 feet of film shot by John Karol showing woods and logging activities related to the final Kennebec River pulp-log drive held by Scott Paper Company. Scenes include Moosehead Lake and pulpwood, making booms, and Kennebec River drive to Scott Paper pulpmill. Also shown are: Indian Pond Camp and men of the Kennebec Log Driving Company; kitchen meal, batteau on river, Wyman Lake, sluice and dam. Footage includes interviews. Collection also contains a factual work, "The Last Log Drive," a 10-minute video workprint editing the Karol footage. Included is an aerial view of new pulp mill upriver from Winsor.
      Nuna Cass produced the edited (10 min. videocassette) version of the original footage; the editor was Sophia Neel. The film was shot under the auspices of the White Mountain Museum of Forest History, Nuna Cass, acting director.
