Collection contains home movies of travel in the American southwest and northeast. Scenes include lake shorefront, a view of the desert from a train, the retaining wall crib-work at the state line between Massachusetts and New York, a forest fire, the New York City skyline wth harbor scenes, Niagara Falls, and Boston harbor. Maine-related footage shows a car ferry in use at Bucksport, the coast at Acadia National Park and Frenchman’s Bay, a log drive, slate quarries at Monson, and an encampment of Boy Scouts at Monson Pond.
The material was found in the attic of a home in Fairfield, Maine.
