Katahdin Area Council Boy Scouts of America Collection
Collection contains amateur scouting footage and fifteen titles produced by the Boy Scouts of America. The amateur footage, probably shot by Maine scouts, shows troops at a Jamboree at the Irvine Ranch in California in 1953, a Jamboree in Washington, D.C. in 1937, and tent camping and hiking in 1936. The commercial films are primarily Boy Scouts of America recruiting and training films with such titles as "This Is Exploring," "Men Who Made a Difference," "Let’s Go to the Jamboree," and "Winter Camping."
The Katahdin Area Council Boy Scouts of America is headquartered in Bangor, Maine.
