Collection contains factual works. "GTE Waldoboro: People Who Care About Quality" is a videotape about an employee involvement program at the GTE Sylvania plant in Waldoboro, Maine. "Bryant Pond: The Last Ringdown," made in 1982, is a videotape about the last magneto telephone company in the United States. [Frenchboro Telephone Company] is a film profile of Jeff Weber, founder of the Island Telephone Company in Frenchboro, and his work to create this company, the smallest independent telephone company in the United States.
GTE merged with Bell Atlantic to form Verizon Communications in 2000. NHF also has 9,000 feet of workprint footage, outtakes and 13 reels of 1/4-inch audiotape related to the Frenchboro program.
