The collection consists of 30 reels of silent, black and white, and color, 16 mm film, totaling approximately 9413 feet. The films consist of home movies shot by Alonzo Shadman between 1927 and 1953.
The collection was donated by Bruce Meyer, and includes the films of his grandfather, Dr. Alonzo Jay Shadman. Dr. Shadman worked as a surgeon for 40 years, and was the founder of Forest Hills General Hospital, in Boston, Massachusetts.
