Ikalainen, Toivo and Ina Collection

The collection consists of 5 reels of silent, black and white, 16mm film, totaling approximately 700 feet. The films are home movies shot by Toivo Ikalainen in the 1930s and 1940s.
The films were shot by Toivo Ikalainen, around Branch Pond, Ellsworth, Maine. Toivo was the uncle of the donor, Bruce Borque. Toivo worked as a cab driver and chaufeur in New York City.
